Webmail login: how to sign in to your webmail

"Webmail" simply means reading your email in a web browser. Every email provider has its own webmail page, so the first step is knowing where your mailbox lives. This guide covers the most common providers and a faster way to use any of them.

1. Find your webmail address

Not sure which provider you use? Check where you bought your domain or hosting. The welcome email for your mailbox usually names the webmail address.

2. Sign in

1. UsernameType your full email address, e.g. info@yourcompany.com. Most webmail logins reject just info.
2. PasswordThe mailbox password, which is not always the same as your hosting or control-panel password.
3. Choose a webmail program if askedcPanel may ask you to choose Roundcube. Tick “open my inbox when I log in” to skip it next time.

3. Forgot your webmail password?

Webmail itself usually cannot reset a password. Reset it where the mailbox is managed: cPanel, Email Accounts, Manage; Hostinger hPanel, Emails; GoDaddy, Email & Office dashboard; Zoho, Admin Console. See webmail forgot password for each.

4. Webmail login not working?

• “Login failed”: check Caps Lock and use the full email address. Reset the password if needed.
• Too many attempts: wait 10–15 minutes; hosts lock sign-in after repeated failures.
• Page does not open: try yourdomain.com:2096, or your host's own webmail address from the table.
• Gmail or Yahoo in another app: needs an App Password.
